From November 12 to 14, the A.N. Nurmukhambetov Department of Pathological Physiology held lectures for students on the topic: Law and Youth: Responsibility and Choice

Law and Youth: Responsibility and Choice

Youth freedom is meaningful only when paired with responsibility. Knowing and following the law protects your safety, reputation, and opportunities. Every decision carries consequences: academic integrity, respect for intellectual property, zero tolerance for bullying and hate speech, and safe online behavior are foundations for trust and future success.

Responsibility shows up at three levels:

  1. Personal — time management, keeping promises, and managing your digital footprint.
  2. Legal — reading contracts before signing, basic financial/tax literacy, and cyber-safety.
  3. Civic — volunteering, constructive dialogue, and informed participation in elections

Law is a system of rules that ensures order and safety in society. Through the law, young people can learn their rights and duties, and it is important to be aware of responsibility for their actions. Freedom is the ability to direct your own life, but it must always go hand in hand with responsibility. Legal, social, and moral responsibility helps youth make correct choices and avoid harming society. The law is not a restriction, but a tool to protect the safety and rights of young people. Making conscious decisions and being responsible for one’s actions is a sign of true civic culture.
