On April 16, 2025, Associate Professor of the Department of Microbiology and Virology, Candidate of Medical Sciences Taurbaeva N.T., along with department lecturers Iskakova U.B., Nurgazina G.S., Askar G.Kh., Aitimova D.N., and Mustapaeva Zh.O., held an educational hour together with 2nd-year students of the «Medicine» program. The event was dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the Department of Microbiology and Virology 115th anniversary of the birth of Professor K.A. Makirov on the topic «Patriot, warrior, scientist, teacher-Professor K. A. Makirov». During the event, materials were presented about the scientist’s life journey, his heroic service during the Great Patriotic War, and his contributions to science and pedagogy. The students listened with pride and interest to the patriotic, heroic, and scholarly legacy of the professor.
