The Department of Ambulant Polyclinic Pediatrics was founded in 1987 on the basis of city children’s polyclinic №7 in Almaty.
The first head of the department was Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sultanbaev T.Zh., who made a great contribution to the organization and development of the department. From 1989 to 2015 the department was headed by Professor Dadambayev E.T.

Now the deceased head of the department Dadambaev Edil Taitoleuovich was doctor of medical sciences, professor, full member of the Academy of Natural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a doctor of the highest category.

In connection with the restructuring of the departments through further merger with the ambulant clinic department, ambulant polyclinic pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, gerontology and geriatrics, oncology and surgery, it was transformed into the department of general medical practice No. 1, the head of the chair is Ph.D , professor Isaeva B.G. (2015-2016).

With the revival of the pediatric faculty, the department of ambulant polyclinic pediatrics again separated from the Department of General Practice No. 1 in September 2016. The chair is headed by Bozhbanbaeva Nishangul Seitbekovna – the head of the department from 2017-1018 academic year, the director of the pediatric department, the doctor of medical sciences, the associate professor, the member of the Association of Pediatricians of Kazakhstan, the accredited independent expert in the specialty “Pediatrics”, the pediatrician of the highest category.

Today the Department of Ambulant Polyclinic Pediatrics continues to develop its best traditions, represents a team of like-minded people, consisting of 12 employees, many of whom are university graduates. The department employs highly qualified teachers and doctors, including 2 professors, 2 assistant professors and 1 doctor PhD.

The faculty of the department constantly improves and improves its knowledge in clinical and pedagogical activity by passing various internships in the near and far abroad countries and in Kazakhstan.
