According to the established tradition, the Department of “Dermatovenereology” of the Kazakh National Medical University named after S. Asfendiyarov on May holidays came to the “House of Veterans of Almaty” – “Center for Special Social Services No. 3”.

Employees of the department within the charity campaign conducted a free of charge examination and consultation of the residents of the “House of Veterans”. After the completion of medical procedures, a charity event was organized for the residents and guests who attended the concert, timed to coincide with the Victory Day, which was organized by the 5 th year students of the Kazakh National Medical University n.a. S.D. Asfendiyarov under the chair of dermatovenerology dept.

In the event, which had a great educational effect for the students of the medical university, who prepared the concert part after an emotional congratulatory speech by the head of the department Beisebaeva Ulzhan, WWII veterans and the labour veterans shared their memories of those hard days. Performances of veterans skillfully combined with the performance of songs of that time in the performance of the staff and students of the department. The warm atmosphere of the meeting is evidenced by the fact that all evening veterans of war and labour tried to sing along war-time songs.

The meeting that took place in the form of communication between the youth and the older generation was mutually beneficial, culminating in mass dances to the music of the songs “Blue Handkerchief” and “Katyusha.”

Charged with a positive charge from an informal meeting, the staff and students of the department promised to organize such an action more than once.
