The primary objective of the event was to foster historical and patriotic awareness among students, as well as to provide a profound understanding of traditions of heroism and the significance of civic duty through domestic cinematographic art.

The film is based on real events: in 2011, a terrorist act occurred in the city of Taraz, and the heroism of Police Captain Gaziz Baitasov is depicted in the plot. During the incident, the lives of numerous civilians were put at risk. The film vividly illustrates the societal harm and dangers posed by terrorist actions, emphasizing for students the importance of maintaining public safety.

Through watching the film, students were able to appreciate the significance of civic responsibility. Many viewers expressed admiration for the courage of the characters, and some students were emotionally moved, particularly by the scene in which the protagonist sacrifices his own life to save others. The film portrays the professional heroism of state police officers, their duty to society, and their readiness to fulfill responsibilities despite life-threatening risks. This contributed to the development of students’ respect for public service, civic duty, and patriotic values.

Following the screening, a brief discussion was held under the curator’s guidance. Students discussed the role of terrorist acts in contemporary society, the importance of an individual’s ability to make decisions and take courageous actions, as well as the societal consequences of terrorism. The discussion also addressed the significance of law enforcement activities and the necessity for citizens to participate in ensuring public safety. Medical students shared their perspectives regarding professional responsibility, highlighting the importance of saving lives and providing first aid during emergencies. They recognized the interconnection between professional duty and civic responsibility, reflecting on their own roles in serving society.

The event had a significant impact on students’ cultural, patriotic, and emotional development, promoting the appreciation of historical and civic values and fostering respect for public service. After the film screening, students took commemorative photographs and left the cinema with a deep and lasting impression.
