On 14 November 2025, Assistant S.B.Yerkhanova of the Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics conducted a lecture-discussion with first-year students of groups M25-015k and M25-016k on the topic “Law and Youth: Responsibility and Choice.”
The event took place at 11:00 in Room 506, located at 37A Zheltoksan Street.
The purpose of the event was to enhance students’ legal literacy, explain the importance of complying with legal requirements, and foster a responsible attitude among young people.
During the lecture, various types of legal liability applicable to minors and adults, their specific features, measures for the prevention of offenses, and the importance of making lawful choices were discussed. Students were also presented with real-life legal case examples, followed by an organized discussion.
The lecture-discussion addressed the types of crimes and offenses, as well as the forms of liability applicable to young adults who commit criminal acts. Explanations were provided on criminal, administrative, disciplinary, and civil liabilities, including the conditions under which each type is imposed. The types of penalties and their application were also reviewed.
In addition, the university’s academic policy and academic integrity code were covered. Students received important guidelines regarding attendance, care for university property, and maintaining honesty in the learning process.
The students actively engaged in the discussion, asked questions, and expressed their views on understanding and applying legal norms. The event contributed to fostering legal culture among young people and developing their skills in making responsible decisions.
