Under the guidance of the Department of Social and Educational Work of KazNMU, the vocal competition “EGİZ-LEBİZ” was held, with participation from the university’s faculty, staff, and students.  On February 21, 2024, the first stage of the competition took place with the theme “Kazakh Retro Songs.” Assistant of the Department of Microbiology, virology, D.N. Aytimova, and third-year student D.Baisentaeva performed the song “Men dep oyla” brilliantly, earning the highest possible score of 10 points among the participants. Next, on March 13, 2024, the second stage of the competition was held with the theme “Retro and Modern Popular Songs from Around the World.” During this stage, the leading representatives of the department beautifully and clearly performed the song “Sarà perché ti amo,” receiving high praise and recognition from the judges. On November 15, 2024, the third stage of the “Egiz-Lebiz” competition took place. Our silver-voiced performers sang the song “Omir-ozen” and won the “Grand Prix” of the competition, as well as the warm admiration of the audience.
