On April 18, the departments of SHOM-1 held the Annual International Subject Student Olympiad. The section “Normal Physiology” was attended by 343 students from the following universities – Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov (Kazakhstan); Semey Medical University (Kazakhstan); Astana Medical University (Kazakhstan); West Kazakhstan Medical University named after M. Ospanov (Kazakhstan); Bukhara State Medical University (Uzbekistan); Kursk State Medical University (Russia); Fergana State Medical University (Uzbekistan).

The organizer of the section “Normal Physiology” is the Department of Normal Physiology with a course in Biophysics of KazNMU.

The format of this section is online on the Google Classroom and Quizizz platforms, demonstration on the Google Meet platform. Languages: Kazakh, Russian, English

The Olympiad consisted of 2 stages:

Stage I – testing / 40 tests. The tests were completed on the Google Classroom platform

Stage II – solving situational problems on the Quizizz platform.

At all stages of the Olympiad, a proctoring system was used to ensure academic integrity and transparency.

The competition committee consisted of Balzhan Abdrambekovna Dzhusipbekova – chairperson of the competition committee, PhD in Biology, acting head of the department of normal physiology with a course in biophysics at S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University; Elena Mikhailovna Roslyakova – PhD in Medicine, associate professor (associate professor) (without an academic title) of the department of normal physiology with a course in biophysics at S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University; Nurakhova Alma Dandybaevna – PhD, Associate Professor (Associate Professor) with an academic title of the Department of Normal Physiology with a course of biophysics of KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov; Shaikhymbekova Raigul Mukhambetovna – PhD, Associate Professor (Associate Professor) (without an academic title) of the Department of Normal Physiology with a course of biophysics of KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov; Zhunistay Dias Dukenbaevich – Master, Assistant Professor of the Department of Normal Physiology with a course of biophysics of KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov. The students’ ability to apply the acquired knowledge, clinical approach and critical thinking in solving situational problems was assessed. The organization and holding of the Olympiad were provided by: Artykbaeva Ulbobek Sarsenovna – assistant professor of the department of normal physiology with a course of biophysics of KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov; Baidaulet Tilek – master, lecturer of the department of normal physiology with a course of biophysics of KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov; Baibolatova Layla Mukhatovna – assistant professor of the department of normal physiology with a course of biophysics of KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov. Moderators: Baidaulet Tilek – master, lecturer of the department of normal physiology with a course of biophysics of KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov; Kim Abilmansur Aleksandrovich – assistant professor of the department of normal physiology with a course of biophysics of KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov; Zharkynbek Aidana – assistant of the Department of Normal Physiology with a course of biophysics of the KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov ensured compliance with the principles of academic integrity at all stages.
