Department of General Immunology

The Department of General Immunology teaches the subject “General Immunology” to students studying in the specialties “General Medicine”, “Pediatrics” and “Dentistry”, as well as undergraduates and doctoral students in the specialty “Medicine”. Teaching is fully provided with current curricula and syllabuses, approved in the appropriate form.
Annually, in order to optimize the educational process, examination tests, tests of current control, syllables, methodological instructions for students in Kazakh, Russian and English, provided with didactic material, are processed, discussed at meetings of the department and approved. The training process used innovative methods, widely used teaching aids.
In order to ensure the quality of classes and optimize the educational process, the teaching staff of the department actively participates in educational and methodological seminars and conferences, there are cycles of advanced training in pedagogy and in the specialty of immunology, allergology.

Department of General Immunology KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov conducts advanced training courses for doctors and teachers of medical universities. Teachers with many years of clinical and scientific experience are working at the Department of Immunology.
Doctors specializing in “Allergology and Immunology” have been trained at the department on topical issues of immunology and allergology in recent years. There were carried out courses “Diagnostics, treatment and immunorehabilitation of immunocompromised persons. Interpretation of the immunogram “,” Immunodiagnostics, immunotherapy and immunoprophylaxis in the practice of a modern doctor”and etc.
The transition to online learning in connection with the coronavirus pandemic has given its advantages of conducting distance learning for teachers.
The distance cycle was held for teachers of medical universities “Immunology for teachers of medical universities” in the amount of 108 hours for the first time this year. Teachers of bachelor’s degree, residency at KazNU named after Al-Farabi, South Kazakhstan Medical Academy studied on the course.
The staff of the department intend to continue conducting distance cycles in the specialty and pedagogical competencies for teachers of medical universities not only in the Republic, but also in the neighboring countries.
