Clinical work

The department is located on the basis of the State Clinical Hospital on PVC “Children’s City Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital of Almaty” (DGKIB), Bayzakova 299a. The total number of hospital beds 360, of them are supervised by the staff of the department 319, including the admission department. The Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases supervises 10 out of 11 departments of the clinic. All staff members of the department have the highest medical category and work experience of more than 10 years. During the period of 2016-17 the department staff in the basic clinic provided advice to 1,406 patients, medical treatment of patients 421, 150 clinical debris, 225 consilia. Employees of the department regularly participate in the examination of deaths, complicated cases and conflict situations (42 for 2016-17gg). In addition to the basic clinic, the teaching staff of the department participates in unpaid city / republic councils (68 consulates for 2016-17).
As a help to organizations of practical public health, the department staff spent 68 consultations in institutions that are not the clinical bases of the department, including 19 consultations in hospitals in Zhambyl and Almaty oblasts. Together with the State University of Almaty, the staff of the department organized and held a charity event – an advisory reception of children with infectious diseases, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Prof. Kuttykuzhanova G.G. and Ph.D. Umesheva K.A. enter the working group for the development of the National Clinical Protocols of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, only for 9 months of 2017 they developed 9 national protocols.
