IX International Scientific and Practical Congress “Allergology and Immunology: Achievements and Prospects

The IX International Scientific and Practical Congress “Allergology and Immunology: Achievements and Prospects” was held on September 17-20, 2025 in a hybrid format. The Congress was organized by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the City Department of Public Health of the Akimat of Almaty, the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov, in particular, the Department of General Immunology named after A.A.Shortanbayev, the Research Institute of Cardiology and Internal Diseases of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the Society of Allergologists, Immunologists and Immunorehabilitologists (OAIIR). It was dedicated to the memory of Academician N.D.Beklemishev and the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of Kazakhstan.

The event was attended by over 2,000 people, including doctors, medical university teachers, scientists, and delegates from all regions of Kazakhstan and abroad, such as China, Russia, Belarus, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan.

The following topics were discussed during the Congress:

  • Newstandards for providingallergologicalandimmunologicalcare to the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
  • Problemsandachievementsinvaccine prevention.
  • Environmentalproblems of Kazakhstanand the city of Almatyin the context of theirimpacton public health.
  • Introduction to thepractice of ICD-11(InternationalClassification of Diseases),whereacquiredimmunodeficiencywasclassified for the first time.
  • The role of artificial intelligence (AI) in medicine, science and education.

 

In addition, the event included a series of specialized workshops focused on key areas of modern clinical practice. The experts presented an in-depth analysis of drug allergies, methods of immunological examination and functional diagnostics in respiratory medicine. Special attention was paid to skin tests and allergen-specific immunotherapy. A special place in the program was occupied by the master class “New Horizons in immunodiagnostics”, dedicated to the application of the method of immunochemiluminescent analysis in practical healthcare.
