Research work of students

At the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases an active research work of students is conducted under the guidance of the teachers of the department. The purpose of the NSC is in-depth study of the children’s infectology, which are of interest to them, gaining skills in working with scientific medical literature, patients and their medical history, the skills of scientific analysis of the findings, which will be of importance in the future work of the practical doctor, as well as those students who connect their the future with scientific work. Members of the circle of our department were the current doctors and candidates of medical sciences – among them Yeralieva LT, Umeshev KA, Tukhanov N. (Ph-doctoral student) and many others.

The Scientific Student Circle (SSC) works in such research areas as neuroinfections, acute intestinal infections, intrauterine infections, acute respiratory viral infections, and zoonotic infections.

Responsible for NIRS at the department is cms, associate professor Onalbaeva G.Zh. The number of students participating in research work in different years ranged from 11 from 22 people, among them students of the 4th and 5th courses of the General Medicine Department, interns-pediatricians, interns-ORP. During the existence of the circle, the members of the circle occupied and continue to take prizes on the second round of the competition of scientific research works of the University, there are certificates, and students-circle students delivered reports at republican scientific conferences for students and young scientists (Aktobe, Shymkent, g. Astana), at the International Conference of Young Scientists (KazNMU, Almaty). The NSC conducts quizzes with students (“The best infectiologist”), round tables, discussions on topical topics of infectology. Every year the research students’ medical works published by KazNMU and other publishing houses of the Republic of Kazakhstan are published by the circle students.

For carrying out scientific-student work the department has a good base; free access to sick and archival medical records.

In 2016-2017, our circles – interns-ORP Begimkulova A., Baidullaeva M. (head associate professor Onalbaeva G.Zh.), in the second stage of the competition of the R & D Institute of KazNMU, were awarded the prize in the nomination “For the will to win”, also the winners were the circle masters Molaikhanov Sh. and Khaldarova M. (head associate professor Dzhumabekova AT) who spoke at the 59th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists in Astana. Speakers at conferences and competitions circles got certificates.
