Much attention is paid to research work. The Department of Allergology works in close cooperation with the European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (EAACI), has entered into a cooperation agreement with the Vienna Medical University.

Since 1998, the international national congress “Asthma and Allergy” has been held annually with the participation of the presidents of the European Academy of Allergists and Clinical Immunologists with a worldwide reputation in the field of allergology and clinical immunology, as well as leading experts from near and far abroad.
For the first time in the history of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the “Association of Allergists and Clinical Immunologists” in 2013 entered the EAACI and became its equal member.
In this regard, the first Congress of Allergists and Clinical Immunologists of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2014 with the participation of the President of the European Academy of Allergists and Clinical Immunologists, Professor of the University of Manchester Nikolaos Popandopoluos, with the President of the Austrian Society of Allergists and Clinical Immunologists, Professor V. Pikl and Rudolf Valenta, President of the International University of Molecular Allergology, Professor of the Vienna Medical University

For the first time, young employees of the department, led by a professor, won the EFIS Travel Awards and EFIS Accommodation Awards for young scientists from the International Network of Universities of Molecular Allergology and Immunology (INUNIMAI) and the European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS) and took part in the International School of Molecular Allergology in Georgia with the receipt of prizes.
At the moment, cooperation with EAACI on topical issues of allergology and INUNIMAI on molecular allergology continues.
Scientific research is carried out at the Department of Allergology. An intra-university grant on the topic: “Metabolic changes in food allergies” was carried out in 2016, as a result of which 2 articles were published and 2 acts of implementation were received.
The staff of the department submitted 2 applications for grant financing of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the topics: “Improving the management of patients with allergic diseases against the background of SARS-CoV-2 and their monitoring using mobile applications” and “Creating a register of patients with allergic diseases and confirmed SARS-CoV- 2 in the conditions of Almaty “.
At the moment, the Program targeted funding for 2021-2023 has been approved and passed on the topic of the scientific and technical program: The National Program for the Implementation of Personalized and Preventive Medicine in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In the current academic year, we applied for participation in the Intra-university competition of grants to KazNMU named by S.D. Asfendiyarov to conduct scientific research in the field of medicine and health care for 2021-2023, on the topic: “Study of the association of single nucleotide polymorphism rs231775 of the CTLA4 gene with the risk of developing bronchial asthma in the Kazakh population.”

A large section of the work is to conduct training seminars and master classes on topical issues of allergology in the cities of Almaty, Nur-Sultan and in other regions of the republic. Also in online format.
