The quality of education is realized through training complex, presenting the level of  methodical discipline that is taught in our Neurology department.

In 2011 there were conducted linear and credit forms of training  of the following disciplines: 3, 4, 5, 6 course students in specialty 051106 “Oriental Medicine”, the students of the 5th year 051301 “General Medicine” on the “Neurology” subject, 5th course students in specialty 051101 “Medicine” – (SES-2005), 3rd year in” Dentistry ” in the discipline of” Neurology”. Since 2009 to 2013 there were taught 2nd year students in specialty 051101 “Nursing” on the subject “Nursing in neurology.”

According to Bologna Declaration KazNMU gradually moved credit ssystem of education. Since 2012 the Department of Nervous Diseases educate undergraduate students of the 5th year specialty 051301 “General Medicine” on the subject “Neuroscience” and 3rd year students of specialty “Dentistry”.

The educational policy of the University is aimed at competence-based approach to education, which requires professional knowledge and skills. From the first lesson our students get knowledge about syllabus, discipline policy, criteria, and they demonstrate strong motivation for the practical skills development in every practical session .

We value knowledge control in two stages. The first phase of the exam – theoretical knowledge is assessed through the test tasks (in the bank of test – 1000). For the second stage of the examination we selected an objective structured clinical examination (OSKE), because it fully complies with the requirements and provides a correct estimate of the examiner and the examinee.

Our teachers use in practical classes active learning methods: – problem-based instruction (the teacher creates a problem situation – a situational problem by organizing brainstorm possible approaches to solving the problem, students must present their version of the proof, conclusions). “Brain Storm” develops the students’ logical thinking, leadership, stimulate memorization, generalization.

Independent work of the student is done while performing different types of training activities. The most common type is to work with the educational literature. We teach the proper use of the primary source, highlighting the main points of the text. Students need to be essays, presentations, crossword puzzles, etc.

Self-study student stimulates the motivation to take action, the experience of the scientific approach to the treatment of literature, analyze practical experience. Independent work of the student-led training is conducted showing coaching teacher who raises difficult questions and tasks to students to solve the problem. With this type of work focuses on practical skills, learning through problem creating interest among students, positive emotions to work
