“OCTOBER 10 – WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY”

On 02.10.2026 and  08.10.2026, Abdrasilova V.O. (groups M26-017k and M26-018k) and Almabayeva N.M. (groups M26-015k and M26-016k), lecturers of the Department of Normal physiology with a biophysics course, held mentoring sessions with the students of their assigned groups on the topic “October 10 – World Mental Health Day”.

The students prepared presentations on the topic and held a discussion about the importance of maintaining mental health.

Following a lively discussion, the students reached the following conclusions:

  1. To understand that speaking openly about psychological difficulties and stress is not a sign of “weakness,” but rather a sign of awareness and a responsible attitude toward one’s health.
  2. To explore practical ways to manage pre-examination anxiety, prevent emotional burnout, and cope with stress.
  3. To learn to recognize the emotional state of their peers and offer support during difficult times by letting them know, “I am here for you; you are not alone.”

The discussion on this topic clearly demonstrated to students that creating a safe and supportive environment within the university begins with every lecturer and every student.
