Scientific research work at the department is conducted in different directions of theoretical and practical phthisiology. Under the guidance of Professor Rakisheva A.S., together with the National Center of tuberculosis problems of the RK, the NTP of the Ministry of Health of the RK “Development of measures for the prevention of tuberculosis with various types of drug resistance” was carried out (head – professor, in 2012 – research work under the grant of the First President of the RK “Students – risk group tuberculosis”. Under the guidance of academician Muminov T.A, the grant of the Nazarbayev University, the Center for Life Sciences, together with the Center studying global health in Central Asia at Columbia University, “Mapping the eco-social and genetic factors that determine susceptibility to tuberculosis of the Republic of Kazakhstan”
