“Gylym Ordasy” Museum – A Sanctuary of Spiritual Enrichment for Students

On October 16, 2026, V.O. Abdrasilova, a lecturer at the Department of “Normal Physiology with a Course of Biophysics,” along with the students of the mentored group M26-017k, visited the “Gylym Ordasy” Scientific and Museum Complex. A guided tour was conducted by the museum’s research staff to enhance the students’ educational and cognitive levels, introduce them to the history, archaeology, and developmental path of Kazakhstani science, strengthen cultural and patriotic education within the group, and complement their theoretical knowledge with visual exhibits.

The complex comprises 4 distinct museums:

  • Museum of Archaeology — features unique artifacts spanning from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages (including the reconstruction of the “Golden Man” and the Berel horses).
  • Museum of Nature — the only natural history museum in Kazakhstan housing paleontological and biological exhibits, including the skeletons of dinosaurs and tarbosaurs.
  • Museum of the History of Kazakhstani Science — chronicles the formation and development of science in the country and celebrates its prominent scientists.
  • Museum of Rare Books — preserves a valuable collection of ancient manuscripts and rare books.
