On April 10, 2026, on the eve of May 1 – the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan, an event entitled “Friendship of Nations – the Pillar of the State” was organized.
The event was held at the faculty level on the initiative of the curators of the Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics – Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Aizhan Zhumagazyevna Beisenova, and Assistant Professor Aigul Zharylkasynovna Mustafayeva, as well as first-year students of the School of General Medicine (groups M24-007-008, M24-009-010). Students of the 1st–2nd years from the International Faculty, the Faculty of Dentistry, and the Faculty of General Medicine took part in the event.
The opening ceremony began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Then, Professor of the Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics, Doctor of Medical Sciences Yesenkeldi Userbayevich Kuandykov gave his blessing to the younger generation.
The main objective of the event was to raise awareness among young people about the importance of unity and harmony in a multinational country, to foster an understanding of the value of unity, and to promote the idea that the bright future of the state is directly linked to peace and mutual understanding.
As part of the program, the culture, national traditions, and cuisine of the Tajik, Georgian, Russian, Indian, Japanese, Uyghur, Uzbek, Turkish, Kazakh, and Dungan peoples were presented. In addition, competitions of wall newspapers and creative performances dedicated to the Day of Unity were organized. Participants competed in the nominations “Best Newspaper,” “Best Performance,” “Best National Dish,” and “Best National Costume.” The results of the competitions were evaluated by a jury, which determined the winners.
Students actively participated in the competitions, demonstrating a high level of creativity and talent. The winners were awarded diplomas, while the organizers and the most active participants received letters of appreciation.
In the concluding part of the event, the floor was given to the Head of the Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics, Associate Professor Aizhan Zhanarbekovna Moldakaryzova, as well as to the invited guest – Associate Professor of the Department of History, Candidate of Historical Sciences Saule Kabdimulikovna Ualiyeva. In their speeches, they emphasized that unity and harmony among the multinational people of Kazakhstan are the foundation of the country’s development. They also highlighted the importance of peace and stability for Kazakhstan’s entry into the ranks of the world’s 30 most developed countries and for its economic growth, expressing confidence in the bright future of a country where representatives of different nationalities live together in peace and harmony under one shanyrak.
