On April 10, 2026, the Republican Olympiad was held for the first time in the Kazakh language among medical students at the S.Zh. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University. It was organized by the S.R. Karynbaev Department of Normal Anatomy.

The main goal of the Olympiad was to deepen students’ theoretical knowledge, improve practical skills, develop clinical thinking, and strengthen cooperation between universities.

Teams from various medical universities in the Republic of Kazakhstan participated in the Olympiad: Semey Medical University, Astana Medical University, Karaganda Medical University, M. Ospanov West Kazakhstan University, Kazakh-Russian Medical University, and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The participants demonstrated a high level of preparation, professional qualifications, and teamwork skills.

The Olympiad program consisted of several rounds:

Round 1: Team Welcome

Round 2: Quick Quiz

Round 3: Crossword

Round 4: “Crocodile”

Round 5: Eponyms

Round 6: Anatomical Terms Competition

Round 7: “4 Pictures and 1 Word”

Round 8: Demonstration of practical skills in wet preparations

 

All stages were aimed at a comprehensive assessment of the participants’ knowledge.

Based on the Olympiad results:

Grand Prix – Team “AstraMED” from Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University.

1st place – Team “Impulse” from Karaganda Medical University.

2nd place – Team “Gippokamp” from Kazakh-Russian Medical University.

2nd place – Team “Synapse” from Semey Medical University

3rd place – Team “Panacea” from West Kazakhstan Medical University.

3rd place – Team “MedSana” from Astana Medical University.

3rd place – Team “Anatomy Warrior” from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Al-Farabi.

All winners and runners-up were recognized and awarded diplomas, cups, and valuable prizes. All participants received certificates.

The event was well-organized. The Olympiad facilitated the exchange of experience between students and faculty, as well as increased interest in anatomy and clinical disciplines.
